Description
This is a rare Regina style 18, 12 - 1/4" disc player with a tab gum vending mechanism that was used to deliver a "trade check" with each play, that provided the customer a random amount of trade or cigars. Dating to 1899, this single comb music box was promoted as the "Musical Salesman" and is the only version giving the customer two plays and trade check for a penny. CONDITION: This example is all original with original factory vending mechanism and original finish with a beautiful front "Regina" decal. It comes with one disc. The cabinet is made of oak with beautiful egg and dart trim with minor wear. It includes the key. Reference: "Silent Salesman Too" by Bill Enes, page 132.
