Description
This is a wonderful cast iron cigar cutter that shows a young boy perched on a bench with a cigar in his mouth. It is marked for the Erie Specialty Company from Erie, Pennsylvania, with a patent date of 1889. The clockwork cigar cutter is mounted in the base. When depressed, the young lad pulls a cigar out of his mouth and sticks out his tongue. It advertises Artie, "The Best Cigar of the Year." CONDITION: The cigar cutter has an older nickel plating that has oxidized in some areas. The clockwork mechanism and nipper are both working. The young lad has retained his tongue, which is often missing. Condition: (Very Good) Dimensions: 10" x 5" x 7"
