ANTONIO LOPEZ DE SANTA ANNA SIGNED $500 FIRST MORTGAGE BOND, NO. 1151, NEW YORK, JUNE 28, 1866, the document produced during the exiled Mexican president's stay in the United States, printed by Nathan Lane of New York on banknote paper, signed by Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna, "A.L.de Sta. Anna," in manuscript ink accompanied by an orange monogram, "A.L.S.A.," seal, notarized at right by Richard L'Hommedieu Finch in manuscript ink, City and County of New York Notary of the Public, including green seal, at left a portrait of the Mexican general with vignettes showing his Palace of St. Thomas and Palace of Turbaco within a lacy border; 13 1/2" x 18", framed 20" x 25".
