A WORLD'S FAIR COLOMBIAN EXPOSITION OF 1893 COMMEMORATIVE SILK SCARF, AMERICAN, CHICAGO AND NEW HAVEN, 1893, ink and color lithograph on silk, a promotional scarf printed for, "The World's Fair, Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A.," by E.F. Bares and H.E. Fowler of New Haven, Connecticut, showing a portrait of Christopher Columbus, commemorating his arrival to the Americas with dates 1492-1893 in the banner held by the eagle at the center, showing the architectural buildings erected specially for the fair from a bird's eye view, and with corner illustrations of land and sea mobility, including the New York Central and Hudson River Valley No. 999 steam engine train; 18" x 20", framed 23" x 25 1/2".
Condition
Fading of color throughout, black ink is stable, with spots, stains, and discolorations throughout.
