CHINA-SZECHUAN ND Token 1 Chiao:(1) Brass, NGC XF 40(2) Copper Nickel, NGC AU 55(3) Iron, NGC XF DETAILSTotal 3 Pieces, YIF CollectionThese tokens were from Szechuan, but the mint where they were made is unknown. They are simple in design. It is assumed that they were made by a warlord at a temporary mint. The tokens have four materials, that is, nickel, copper-nickel, iron, and silver of low purity. The denomination of all these tokens is 10 cent. According to the cross flags on the reverse, they were minted between 1924 to 1930.In 2008 Hong Kong Norman Jacobs Auction, an iron example and a nickel example were auctioned. Another iron example was auctioned in Beijing in 2019.
