Solid silver 18thC Lankan Buddha on a silver metal alloy base. From the famous Chicago-based Aseldorf collection (purchased in Chicago at auction by the previous owner in the 1990s when, after the Aseldorfs had passed, much of their collection was auctioned off through multiple auction houses). An extremely fine example that sits 3.25 inches tall, including the permanently connected base. The Buddha itself is of true Museum quality and is close to pure, solid silver. . 3.75 x 2.2 x 1.7
