She portrayed actress Amanda Dell who is rehearsing an off-Broadway revue that spoofs a headline-making billionaire named Jean-Marc Clement (Yves Montand), who, by accident, becomes cast as himself and falls in love with Monroe's character. The film earned more than $6 million at the box office upon release.
