Paul Van Hoeydonck (Belgian, B. 1925) original plastic, nylon, chrome and steel construction titled "Chicken Itza," 1971.

This sculpture appeared on page 129 of the February 1972 article of Playboy magazine, illustrating the fiction story by Robert F. Young titled "Chicken Itza," witht he caption "Here was a world in which nothing ever went wrong--and that bugged the hell out of the inspector from Earth."

LITERATURE: Arthur Paul, Beyond Illustration: The Art of Playboy, (Chicago: Playboy Magazine, 1971), catalogue accompanying an exhibition that traveled in the United States, Canada, Europe and Japan between 1971 and 1974.
