A RARE EXPORT 'BROWN FITZHUGH' PLATTER
Circa 1820
The oval platter decorated with four distinct clusters of flowers and precious symbols enclosing a central double chrysanthemum under a trellis-diaper and spearhead border set off by four stylized butterflies, scattered blossoms and keyfret brackets.

See a rare Fitzhugh armorial platter from the Manigault service sold at Doyle New York, 3 October 2018, lot 451.
