AN EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY LATE 19TH CENTURY FRENCH ORMOLU AND SEVRES STYLE PORCELAIN CLOCK SET
the clock garniture of two tone gilt bronze, in the Louis XVI style, surmounted by a porcelain urn with ormolu mounts, the removable domed cover pierced to also function as a brule parfum or perfume burner, decorated with 18th century style figures and a landscape, with gilt and jewelled decoration to the body, the clock case with acanthus and floral mounts, with a porcelain panel at the base decorated with putti, the dial also porcelain and painted with a pair of Cupids, with Roman numerals, the twin train movement signed 'Japy Freres, Medaille d'Honneur', striking on a bell, with pendulum, the garniture matching candelabra with similar porcelain stems, both decorated with different scenes of Venus and Cupid and with panels of birds to the reverse, all mounted on giltwood stands,
