A FINE SILVER GILT EQUESTRIAN TROPHY CUP, LONDON, 1901, ROWLANDS AND FRAZER
the twin handled cup surmounted by a domed cover with standing horse finial, the cup with twin scrolling, acanthus wrapped handles, the body with ribbon-tied floral garlands and with roundels inscribed with equestrian competitions, including 'Hackney Horse Society Gold Medal won by 8045 Lady Doncaster Exhibted by Mr James W. Temple, at the show of Tunbridge Wells & S.E. Counties Agricultural Society, 1898', also the Royal Agricultural Society at Warwick, the Hunters Improvement Society, and the Cardiff & South Wales Horse Show, 1896, raised on a domed, spreading circular foot, cup and cover both hallmarked London, 1901, H.F., signed to the underside 'ROWLANDS & FRAZER 146 REGENT STREET, LONDON', raised on a mahogany octagonal plinth base set with eight medals made by Elkington & Co. of equestrian theme, decorated on both sides and rotating within their moulded circular frames to reveal both sides, some marked 'AGRICULTURAL HALL COMPANY', signed 'ELKINGTON & CO. LONDON', the cup and cover approximately 3000 grams in weight overall,
