Description
This Roman warrior stands tall with his typical Leather Lappets and Roman armor helmet. The skirt or apron was made up of leather strips and heavily studded with metal. Offering little protection, the apron would have been used as a display and as a source of the noise. The Roman Soldiers also used the apron/skirt as decoration by attaching tokens and discs to signify the campaigns he had fought in. On his right hand, he holds a fork pitch, as he stands in a proud position in front of his strong and vigorous lion. This sculpture was cast using the ancient old Lost Wax Method stained in brown patina finish for preservation and mounted atop a marble base. Dimensions: Height 20 X Width 13 inches. Weight: 15 LBS.
