Remarkable sculpture in stone composite with a patinated bronze coating attributed to Social Realist sculptor Mahonri Young. This statue represents an unidealized nude male seated on a tree trunk base with one elbow resting on his bent leg, possibly representing an athlete after a fight. On back of base: M. Young. 125/350. c. 1950?
