Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in white base color which contrast against famille rose design color, depicted of abundant flowers bloom of the four seasons. In the Chinese culture, specific flowers represent the seasons. winter: Plum Blossom, Spring: Peony, Summer: Lotus, Fall: Chrysanthemum.
