Vintage Southwestern/Native American Inlaid Sun God Necklace, Spiny Oyster & More. This is a type of ceremonial knive used in ancient Peru by the Moche, Chimu, and Incan cultures. Inalid spiny oyster, mother of pearl, and an inlaid dark green stone that I'm unsure of what it is. It also has two raised chrysocolla stones - one in the headress and the other at the feet. The pendant is marked .925 and tests as sterling with a weight of appx. 18.10 gr. It is appx. 3" tall with the swing bail that also has a raised bezel-set green stone. It is domed somewhat. It is on a 16"-18" red 2mm round laminated cord chain with silver tone extender chain and lobster clasp. That is newer than the pendant . The color of the cord works great with the spiny oyser but you can easily slide that chain off and add a silver chain or other chain of your choice. Age is estimated at 1980's-1990's, could be earlier. Not signed by the maker. Very good condition. (W41523.1X1 SS10353 J LD 4/19/23).
