I was delighted to find this board book collection with excerpts from her longer hardback book. The selection is varied in scope and variety, and includes some poems and lyrics that are beautiful but no longer appear in most people's common lexicon of nursery rhymes or poems for babies. I love the language and rhythms that are used and am looking forward to reading this to my new baby. Most of the pieces are short enough that a toddler will be able to memorize them with some repeated readings and reinforcement, and I am hoping to teach some of them to my little one someday."
