ELVIS PRESLEY 25TH ANNIVERSARY LIMITED EDITION. A magnificient undertaking for RCA three years after Elvis' death. It contains some never before released songs ( such as the piano-driven, countryish " Beyond The Reef "), rare singles and B-sides ( "Hi-Heel Sneakers"),the complete 1961 benefit performance in Hawaii that turned out to be his last live appearance until the tapings of the 1968 special. Also an unreleased early live show in Las Vegas from 1956, a disc of Elvis at the piano, plus so much more. An exceptional collection. This package contains 8 vinyl records, starting out in his early career with some less than perfect recording equipment, and continuing into his post Army singing career with some great hits. I was surprised at how often he would ad lib the lyrics, like changing "...Heartbreak Hotel..." into "Heartburn Hotel". This set of four has many of his big hits; but my favorite is the version of "Are You Lonesome Tonight?"
