A wonderful trio of oil paintings by Portuguese artist Gina Walter, each depicting a vase of flowers on a neutral ground. Each lush bouquet is comprised of a varying array of florals and greenery; the 2 canvases featuring warm hues of marigold and burgundy contrasted by strokes of deep violet and forest green, while the oil on board showcases cooler tones of lilac and powder blue. Walter's liberal brushstrokes and stark background accentuate the flourishing of each blossom, while her use of shadow highlight their lush density. Size of largest (oil on canvas) without frame: 3" W x 4.2" H (7.6 cm x 10.7 cm); of largest with frame: 5" W x 6.25" H (12.7 cm x 15.9 cm)
