Chinese Antique Hand Panted Coromandel Lacquer Screen, H 82" L 128" | Having eight panels (each H. 82" W. 16"), carved and hand painted. the front depicts a bannerman holding a yellow ground flag with the character "漢" (Han [Dynasty]), and a larger yellow ground flag with the character "帥" (Commander). Two individuals holding Wuming fans "五明扇" of different designs. Possibly a gathering of Han Dynasty soldiers, sages, and officials at a general or commander's garden. the reverse depicting a scene with cranes, phoenixes, magpies, and floral elements.
