Description
A beautiful hand paint color, and ink on paper woodblock horizontal print. Edo Period, features rice paddies workers on a bridge bowing respectfully to the nobleman, perhaps their employer, approaching them, a kite in the distance, and a child playing on the bridge. Full title 26th station: Kakegawa, View of Akiba Mountain, no. 27. Original print can be found in the 1830s series, Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido Road, by the ukiyo-e artist Hiroshige. Title print on the top center. Artist signature on the top left. Print placed on the mat paper. Mat: 19"W x 13"H. Print sight size: 13"W x 8.5"H. Print size: 14.25"W x 9.5"H.
