A beautiful hand paint color, and ink on paper woodblock vertical print. Edo Period, features sailboats ferrying passengers across the river. Full title Sailing Boats at Yabase Ferry Gate on Kusatsu Beach, Kusatsu, no. 53. Original print can be found in the 1850s series, Collection of Illustrations of Famous Places near the Fifty-Three Stations (Along the Tokaido), by the ukiyo-e artist Utagawa Hiroshige.
