Veniamin Pavlovich Belkin, Russian, Soviet era, 1884 to 1951, a watercolor painting on paper, 10 Years of the Red Army, an original maquette for the cover of the anniversary issue, number 10, 1928, of the magazine Krasnaya Panorama, Red Panorama. Signed with initials, lower right. Red Panorama is an illustrated socio political, literary, and artistic magazine. Published from 1923 to 1930 by the Krasnaya Gazeta publishing house, twice a month. Main sections: politics and social life, fiction and poetry, theater and art, humor. Veniamin Pavlovich Belkin was a Russian artist and painter. He made a lot of book artwork and was presented at various exhibitions from 1906, both in the Soviet Union, Moscow, Leningrad, and abroad Paris, New York, Boston. Among Belkins notable scores are those for The Decameron, The Three Musketeers, A Hero of Our Time, and The Knight in the Panthers Skin. He also worked for famous publishing house Academia.
