KEITH ARTHUR: (1866-1955) British anatomist and anthropologist. A.L.S., Arthur Keith, one page, 8vo, Downe, Farnborough, Kent, 4th October 1944, to Dr. Streatfield. Keith commences his letter stating 'I'm interested in Geo. Orwell & am indebted to you for that copy of the "Tribune" which I would not have seen otherwise' and further remarks 'My life now lies within the bounds of the small parish of Downe. A good world.' George Orwell (1903-1950) English novelist, essayist, journalist and critic. Orwell served as literary editor of the democratic socialist political magazine Tribune, and in September 1944 had written a piece on the Warsaw uprising.
