Description
1. Circa 1900 sterling silver full Indian chief Niagara Falls cast souvenir spoon. Sterling silver full body Indian chief with bow & tomahawk, Niagara Falls souvenir spoon. Marked STERLING. The beautifully chased bowl shows the falls. 2. Circa 1900 sterling silver full Indian chief Omaha souvenir spoon done in Art Nouveau style with tall corn design in background and back. Made by Fessenden & Co. of Providence Rhode Island that operated under that name from 1860 to1922. The bowl shows the auditorium in Omaha Nebraska. 3. Cast 1900-1930 sterling silver souvenir spoon with Indian chief profile, crossed tomahawks and peace pipes, a teepee and an officer sword, Olympic Range Seattle Washington souvenir spoon. Marked STERLING with an H maker's mark. The beautifully chased bowl shows the Olympic Range. 4. Circa 1906 sterling souvenir spoon with full body Indian Chief, a canoe paddle holding an enamel oval with Winnipeg (Manitoba, Canada), a train and three wheat stacks. On top of the oval is the British Crown. The bowl shows Fort Garry, marked Sterling and Rd 06 (most likely for a registered design in 1906). 5. 1900-1920 sterling silver Portland Maine souvenir spoon with the Portland coat of arms (on either side of the shield, a farmer rests on his scythe, and a sailor leans on an anchor. Above the shield is the motto "Dirigo" (I direct) and a stylized North Star. Below the shield is a banner that reads "Maine". Below there is a swordfish and a buck head. The gilt bowl shows Longfellow’s birthplace and Portland, chased. Possibly marked with the P.W. Ellis mark of Toronto Canada (the mark is a bit faint) that was merged into Birks in 1928 or by the Gorham co. (both marks are similar). 6. Circa 1890 sterling silver souvenir spoon of Detroit, Michigan with an Indian chief head on the handle and a rare Indian couple in a canoe in the bowl with Detroit. 7. & 8. Two circa 1890 Art Nouveau sterling silver souvenir spoons with floral designs as the handle. One for Los Angeles, California, and the other for Laurium Michigan. Measuring between 5.5 to 6 inches long, total weight 193 grams. All stamped with "Sterling" and various makers' marks.
