Item Details
Description
Incredible tunic worn by Flying Officer Don Geffene. Geffene flew operations with RAF Eagle Squadron 121 in May of 1941. He transferred to South East Asia in December of 1941 (likely why the ES insignia was removed), and was eventually killed in action during a dog fight with Japanese fighters on April 5th 1942. He is memorialized with other missing South East Asia Pilot's on the Singapore Memorial. The uniform is named, and shows expected wear. The outline of removed Eagle Squadron insignia can be clearly seen on both shoulders. This includes both stitch outline and shadowing.
