A very hard to find Martiros Manoukian Artist's Proof bronze sculpture known as "Contemplation." Features a Mardi Gras type Jester revealing her face, which is accented with two polished brass plates. AP numbered 13/23, which is molded into the base along with the artist's signature. Approximately 28" wide x 22 1/2" tall x 12 1/2" deep. Heavy bronze. Original retail price on this piece was $25,000.00 after one was purchased by Bill Gates. There is some scuffing on one of the hands, and there are some signs of patina starting to form on surface areas. Might benefit from a proper cleaning.
