Anastacia Villa (Mexican, Mata Ortiz, Contemporary) ca. late 20th century CE. A handmade pottery olla jar that is almost spherical, with a flattened, stable base and small opening, the base is signed by the artist. The metallic looking surface is achieved by using a graphite coating and a polishing stone. Size: 3.75" Diameter x 3.5" H (9.5 cm x 8.9 cm)

Provenance: private Thornton, Colorado, USA collection; ex-Allard Auctions Inc, Seattle May 19th, 2002, lot # 549.
