Three Meiji Era Cloisonne Vases and Bowl represent the vibrant Japanese tradition that produced decorative objects for both the domestic and foreign markets. The tall vase is decorated with dragon and floral motifs set against a dark red and black ground. The motifs are colored with red, green, gold, and blue enamels. There is a mark on the base. The miniature vases boasts background colors of green and red. One is decorated with geometric patterns and stylized floral designs. The other is distinguished by bright green bamboo against a rich red ground. This vase is stamped on the base. The small bowl has an interior lining that can be removed. It is decorated with flying white cranes set against a black surface. A stamp indicates that it was Made in Japan.
