A collection of Chinese Canton famille rose, early 20th century, three vases of baluster form applied with Buddhist lion handles and chilong to the shoulder, along with a similar vase, a smaller vase, an umbrella stand, a brush pot and teacup, all painted with figures, birds and flowers in shaped panels, tallest 40cm high (8) Provenance: The private collection of the late Sir Donald Cory. Condition Report: Some nibbles, to the examples. Crazing on the similar vase- although this looks to be intentional. A chip to the rim of one of the vases. One of the Buddhist lion handles has been damaged and is missing the head. Some restoration the rim of one of the vases, with the cracks and glue apparent to the eye, with crude overpainting, the hairline crack into the vase. All would benefit from a clean.
