STAR WARS: THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK (1980) - Replica Tauntaun Maquette by Regal Robot - A Regal Robot replica of a maquette of a tauntaun from Irvin Kershner's Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. Tom Spina's Regal Robot used a casting taken from Phil Tippett's original production molds to create the master for a limited run of replicas of the maquette.

This lot consists of a gray cast-resin tauntaun with metal rods in its feet that plug into a white resin base resembling snow and a separable tail that attaches using magnets. Several elements, such as the horns, ears, and dewclaws, were not present in the original mold and were faithfully recreated by Regal Robot for their replica version. It exhibits minimal scuffing, which has left some markings on the base. Dimensions: 14" x 8" x 14.5" (35.75 cm x 20.5 cm x 37 cm)
