In 1933, John Dillinger (Johnny Depp) broke his crew out of Indiana State Penitentiary, inspiring a statewide manhunt led by Melvin Purvis (Christian Bale). The film was widely acclaimed for its depiction of the era, receiving multiple guild award nominations for the art direction and production design by Nathan Crowley, Patrick Lumb, and William Ladd Skinner.

Custom-designed by Lumb and Skinner's team for the film's picture cars, this period-accurate maroon plate is stamped with number "220988" and "Indiana-33" in white and features four screw holes for mounting to a vehicle. It comes mounted beneath two color-printed stills from the film inside a black frame. The plate exhibits minor scratching, exposing the metal, from use.
