Gates presented the President (Bruce Greenwood) with an old map of underground slave passages during his birthday celebration at Mount Vernon, while elsewhere, Wilkinson memorized the contents of a letter from Queen Victoria before destroying it.

This lot consists of a map printed on parchment paper labeled "Mount Vernon Lands" and hand-illustrated with ink and paint touch-ups to appear aged, as well as a letter printed on cream-colored paper in brown script font and features a red wax seal. This lot exhibits fold creases, a hole in the creases, and discoloration. Dimensions: (largest) 18.5" x 13" (47 cm x 33 cm)
