Many sought the alluring power of Dark Lord Sauron's (Sala Baker) One Ring, which Frodo Baggins (Elijah Wood) journeyed across Middle Earth to destroy.

This lot consists of a silver-color metal prototype ring and a black velvet drawstring bag featuring the logo of the late New Zealand-based jeweler Jens Hansen, who was commissioned to design and make the One Ring for the film. This is one of several different designs that were created before the final design was approved. The ring exhibits some scuffing and discoloration from age and handling.
