American. 1920s. Lithographed tin. Louis Marx worked for Ferdinand Strauss from 1912 to 1917 before he was voted out by the Board of Directors. Strauss would eventually be known as the "Founder of the Mechanical Toy Industry in America". Marked "Ferdinand Strauss Inc.", on box and front of cart. Toy: 6" x 6" x 3". Box: 5.75" x 6.5" x 3.25".

Condition

Toy has light scratches and paint loss from use. Original box has heavy damage to the wood.
