While on a simulation tour of the Jurassic Park labs, Dr. Allen Grant (Sam Neill) and his acquaintances saw Dr. John Hammond's (Richard Attenborough) latest discovery of recreating Jurassic life as they witnessed a baby velociraptor hatch from its egg.

Created by key artist Rob Hinderstein from Stan Winston Studios, this velociraptor puppet is made of a gray and yellow painted resin egg with a black foam backing featuring high-gloss, light brown painted sculpted resin with Hinderstein's icon Jurassic eyes detailed with lifelike yellow and brown latticework veins and coated in a red crystalline material. The egg is mounted to a textured, gray-painted 3D printed resin base covered in artificial moss, leaves, and broken resin egg shells with a clear acrylic rod inserted in the underside.
