Description: An 18th century Chinese Export gilt & green enamel decorated Imari porcelain plate central urn and with all-over floral decoration, from the Carl Crossman Collection. Crossman?s first hardcover book, "The China Trade: Export Paintings, Furniture, Silver and Other Objects, 1785-1865," was published in 1972 to wide acclaim, garnering a Book of The Month Club selection. Later updated and reprinted as "The Decorative Arts of the China Trade: Paintings, Furnishings and Exotic Curiosities," it is considered to be one of the major reference works published on the China Trade.
