Ancient Roman Glazed Terracotta Figural Pouring Vessel - Circa 200 BC - 200 AD. A glazed terracotta vessel with unusual form. Possibly a vessel for pouring oil or used as an oil lamp itself. Handled and with a figural head with open mouth and tongue as the spout. 3 1/2" h x 7 1/2" L. Condition: Wear commensurate with age and use. Provenance: Private Boca Raton, FL Collection. Acquired in Paris, France between 1965 and 1968 and brought to the United States in 1969. Authenticated in 1968 by Gerard Levy, 17 Rue de Beune, Paris
