Album of approximately 90 snapshots and 19 small thumbnail photos; snapshots range from approximately 6 ¼ x 7 ½” to 3 x 4 ½”; thumbnails are approximately 1 ½ x 1”. All mounted in a contemporary oblong 8vo photo album (“Kodagraphs” on front cover); string-bound full limp black cloth, decoratively stamped in blind, all photos mounted on black paper leaves, nearly all captioned in manuscript white ink. Some wear to album covers, one photo appears to be a later print, some photos with light discoloring, else fine. A superb item of great interest. THE PHOTOS INCLUDE KELLOGG’S PRIZE-WINNING, PURE-BRED ARABIAN HORSES (NASIK, JADAAN, MIZUEL, ETC.) WITH CELEBRITIES OF THE DAY (W. K. KELLOGG, RUDOLPH VALENTINO, DOROTHY DWAN, TOM MIX, KEN MAYNARD, ARTHUR STONE, WILL ROGERS (MOUNTED ON LETAN, ONE OF THE HORSES OWNED BY THEODORE ROOSEVELT), GLENN TRYON, GOVERNOR C. C. YOUNG, THE DWARFS OF THE BARNES ZOO, ETC). Some of the subjects include views of the Kellogg residence and stables, Sycamore Canyon, horses in training for various events, including the Tournament of Roses Parade (1929), Boy Scouts receiving the pony Silverlight as a gift, dedication of the W. K. Kellogg Airport (with several views of the airport), TWO PHOTOS OF CHARLES LINDBERGH IN THE AIR OVER THE KELLOGG PROPERTY, six photos of the Goodyear Blimp (some in the air over the Kellogg property), and more. Kellogg is famous for his food company, which has dominated the breakfast cereal market for decades. This ranch was his winter home, as well as a famous Arabian horse ranch, with the best breeding stock money could buy.
