French Empire Style Ormolu Mounted Mahogany Bookcase, early 20th c., the bowed breakfront top over two glazed doors flanking open bowed shelves, flanked by turned tapered ormolu mounted columns, on a breakfront plinth base, H.- 62 1/2 in., W.- 72 in., D.- 18 1/2 in.

Structurally sound and attractive with no visible repairs. The bookcase has several losses, bends and tears to its ormolu mounted trim, notably to the sides, corners and escutcheons. The left column is loose with the dowel visible, but can easily be repaired. There is a small shrinkage crack to the right side.
