ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This modern ring features a glamorous trilliant-cut, GIA certified Alexandrite that is prong-set in a tiered, floating diamond halo. The platinum ring has an approximate 3 mm shank that rises into diamond lined split shoulders. The ring has an ornate, supportive gallery and the shank bears the Oscar Friedman hallmark.
- Alexandrite was first discovered around 200 years ago, prior to the invention of light bulbs. Even then, the color-changing abilities was evident between incandescent (candle light) and natural sunlight. Technological advancements in lighting have not hindered the Alexandrite from delighting us with its mysterious chameleon-like tricks!
