1876 and 1878 Montclair & Greenwood Lake Railway Annual Passes
A pair of annual passes for Montclair & Greenwood Lake Railway. The 1876 annual pass No. 48 is signed by the railroad president and was issued to Honourable Leonard H. Ashley Assembly State of New Jersey. The pass shows general signs of use with moderate discoloration along the edges, corners, and back edges of the pass. The 1878 annual pass No. 334 was issued to an W.S. Sneden, General Manager of New Jersey Southern Railroad and signed by Hobart receiver. The pass shows moderate discoloration on the front along the edges and bottom. The back of the pass shows severe leftover adhesive and paper marks from where it was once glued onto another piece of paper. See photos for best description.
