An early lemon gold frame currently housing a mirror, mid 19th century or earlier - missing backboards, crazing and some paint flaking on both of the short sides. Measures 29 1/2" x 43 1/2". Provenance: From the Thomas & Gail Rockwell collection, LaGrangeville NY. Tom is the son of the renowned American artist, Norman Rockwell and the author or many children's books. His late wife Gail, was an artist-illustrator and the daughter of Arthur E. Sudler and Janet Whitson Sudler, both early 20th century artists - she illustrated several of her husband's children's books.
