Large lot of vintage sewing collectibles including: Sewing bird; pin cushion with a stepped marble base; two thimbles; various scissors; 3 hand blown glass sewing eggs; an alligator form tape measure marked "Germany" - small loss to end of tail; a tooled leather lady's traveling sewing box; circular hand painted paper mache lidded sewing box - 7" dia. x 4"H; a wooden "A.L. Williston's Universal Cloth Stretcher" - appears to be dated 1856 - used for stretching cloth so that it an be written on; etc. Most items 19th century and in good condition. Provenance: From the Thomas & Gail Rockwell collection, LaGrangeville NY. Tom is the son of the renowned American artist, Norman Rockwell and the author or many children's books. His late wife Gail, was an artist-illustrator and the daughter of Arthur E. Sudler and Janet Whitson Sudler, both early 20th century artists - she illustrated several of her husband's children's books.
