Two small high quality smoking pipes. The first in original leather case signed "Comoy's Make" - very little, if any use, in very good condition - the case with tight hinges - 5 1/2"L; the second, signed "Dunhill Root Briar" - 5"L - slight use, and overall very good condition. Provenance: From the Thomas & Gail Rockwell collection, LaGrangeville NY. Tom is the son of the renowned American artist, Norman Rockwell and the author or many children's books. His late wife Gail, was an artist-illustrator and the daughter of Arthur E. Sudler and Janet Whitson Sudler, both early 20th century artists - she illustrated several of her husband's children's books.
