Description

A queen size brass and iron bed in old green paint, very good condition, with iron side rails and custom made iron mattress supports. Although the bed has an antique appearance, and of high quality construction, it is likely 20th century and in very good condition. It measures 63"W x 56 1/4"H (headboard). Provenance: From the Thomas & Gail Rockwell collection, LaGrangeville NY. Tom is the son of the renowned American artist, Norman Rockwell and the author or many children's books. His late wife Gail, was an artist-illustrator and the daughter of Arthur E. Sudler and Janet Whitson Sudler, both early 20th century artists - she illustrated several of her husband's children's books.
