Vintage veterinary cabinet with glass door and original painted inscription on crest marked "IMPERIAL VETERINARY REMEDIES. / Van Tassel & Tobey. Hudson, N.Y." - The glass door marked in gilded lettering "G.W. Carpenter - West Lebanon, N.Y.". Van Tassel & Tobey manufactured horse medicines - G.W. Carpenter likely a country store owner that sold veterinary products, in West Lebanon N.Y. (Chatham Courier, 26 March 1913 has this name listed as a business in West Lebanon). The cabinet measures 16"W x 7"D x 30"H. Provenance: From the Thomas & Gail Rockwell collection, LaGrangeville NY. Tom is the son of the renowned American artist, Norman Rockwell and the author or many children's books. His late wife Gail, was an artist-illustrator and the daughter of Arthur E. Sudler and Janet Whitson Sudler, both early 20th century artists - she illustrated several of her husband's children's books.
