Description
Large primitive low bench with 1/2 moon cutouts, possibly for holding buckets on a farm - use wear but good stable condition. Early to mid 19th century. Measures 73 1/2"L 8 1/2"W x 8 3/4"H. Provenance: From the Thomas & Gail Rockwell collection, LaGrangeville NY. Tom is the son of the renowned American artist, Norman Rockwell and the author or many children's books. His late wife Gail, was an artist-illustrator and the daughter of Arthur E. Sudler and Janet Whitson Sudler, both early 20th century artists - she illustrated several of her husband's children's books.
