Description

A WWII anti-Hitler figural plaster toothpick holder in the form of Hitler bending over exposing his buttocks which is riddled with holes for toothpicks. Similar example in the US Holocaust Memorial Museum. Measures 4"W x 4 1/4"H. Tiny flake along edge of base, else very good original condition. Provenance: From the Thomas & Gail Rockwell collection, LaGrangeville NY. Tom is the son of the renowned American artist, Norman Rockwell and the author or many children's books. His late wife Gail, was an artist-illustrator and the daughter of Arthur E. Sudler and Janet Whitson Sudler, both early 20th century artists - she illustrated several of her husband's children's books.
