Indonesian Plangi Shawl from Palembang Province, Sumatra, 19th C. Crafted from silk and enhanced with tie-dyeing techniques, this exquisite shawl boasts a captivating combination of magenta and mauve hues. Adorned with an H-shaped design and finished with scalloped edges. The center band of the shawl features mauve characters, contributing to a harmonious and captivating overall composition. Size: 5'8'' x 3'8'' (173 x 112 cm). Provenance: Ex Yosi Barzilai collection.
