3 Antique Palestinian Embroidered Textiles, Early 20th C. 1) An embroidery fragment on velvet from Palestine with dimensions of 16'' x 15'' (41 x 38 cm). 2) An embroidered yoke from Palestine, recognized as the focal point of the traditional Palestinian dress. This detachable piece is likely from a Bethlehem dress, or thob al-malak, often worn by brides on their wedding day and important holidays. For those unable to afford the entire dress, they would purchase only the yoke and attach it to another dress.
